Evolution of Thinking

Systems of thinking and interaction between people form a fundamental technological vector that shapes the future of society.

Language → Writing → Printing → Computer → Mind interface (?)

Understanding how human thinking is structured emerges first. Only then does technology arise from this understanding. Such technology both enhances human capability and cultivates new forms of thinking.

The personal computer is a visualization of memory and thought. It also contains images of previous iterations such as language, symbols, texts, and folders.

But thinking within computers is largely black and white. The next stage will add states, emotions, and other subjective experiences, introducing nuance and depth.

As a result, interfaces will become more complex, as they will need to convey information not only through logic, but also through sensation.
