Note
A framework for blockchain art
May 2026
The original text was written in June 2024.
In this project, I bring together my explorations in analog generativity and autonomous algorithms. It marks the final stage in shaping my approach to digital art, which I began developing three years ago.
I was able to create something like a virtual environment for creation, where I can experiment with any ideas. This became possible by connecting Ethereum smart contracts into a unified network.

Proportio 1/1
I called this system Proportio 1/1. It is built around a main contract that acts as the core of the collection. For each new artwork, a unique sub-contract can be created and then linked to the main one.
All works will exist as single digital pieces to reinforce their conceptual value. At the same time, their total number will remain unknown, as I can continue adding new works throughout my life.

Visual approach
I will also continue developing the technique of analog generativity that I introduced in my previous projects. It allows me to use real paint to create all visual elements, and then generate dynamic images from them.
I may explore other visual approaches later, depending on my goals in working with form. The system remains open to different solutions, allowing it to stay flexible over time.

Technological approach
All works will be displayed on my website, which can be connected to smart contracts and used as their interface. In addition, the contracts will always remain accessible on the blockchain and on external decentralized platforms.
━━━
As an example, I created Monochrome, my first work within this new system. It is similar to Eternal Harmony, but has its own distinct aesthetic and exists as a single piece.
I wanted to experiment with this concept to explore its other possibilities, so I created another variation on the same idea.

Monochrome
The resulting painting changes once every seven days, which is slower than Harmony. Still, it is an ever-changing work that can be experienced indefinitely.
It also has its own atmosphere, shaped by a different composition and a unique set of elements. All of them were created using real paint.

Monochrome, Test generation
Technically, it runs on an Ethereum smart contract. This ensures reliability and autonomous execution of the algorithms, allowing the work to exist as long as the blockchain itself continues to function.
I used the same principle in my previous projects and will continue to build on it, while also exploring other dimensions of the technology. I am still interested in the potential this field holds for working with form.
